a friend assures me, it's all or nothing
driving into work today, i was thinking about how over the past few years, i've seemed to have met more and more people who feel disenchanted about religion, having lost faith for whatever god given reason. hahaha. gotcha.
no but seriously, i was thinking, is this because of one of two scenarios?
1. am i just cooler now, meeting more people into damnation? i mean that in a way that i am meeting more people like me these days (although not quite enough).
2. has there been a trend in cultural evolution of shedding of unnecessary belief concepts/structures?
i mean, if so much of religion is based on creating boundaries for morals and such, now that there is law, isn't that mostly enough? so then what's the point of learning about shit in outdated books that mirror the story-telling in asap's fables?
whatever. have to work.
