show me the scene

if you don't trust your instincts, then you will lose in the long run.

one time there was a man who had a snake. and the snake used to tell him all sorts of things, always trying to get the man to lose focus so that the snake could betray his master. and the snake was cunning, but the man was very very patient.

and the snake was not of pure evil. rather, it was confused by the nature of the world.

and one day, the man brought home a soft gray cat. the cat purred at the man's every touch yet often fled under the bed at nite and in moments of uncertainity.

the snake hated the cat. for it posed a threat in the snake's comfort. the snake was used to getting his way, just as all snakes are.

so the snake, in a jealous, furious rage, woundedthe cat. it did not eat it, rather wounded it and let it lay under the bed of the man.

the man did not notice at first. he went to bed for 3 years straight without missing the cat. he did not notice that the cat was nursing itself under his pillow all that time.

when the cat emerged, she was stronger and wiser and more prescious to the man than ever before. for the man loved the cat. although he had forgotten about her, he had not replaced her and he had never given into the temptations of the snake for those 3 years.

the snake did not understand. and thinking, day and nite, all the time, with televisions and magazines and hidden whispers all day long, the snake still could not understand. and it went insane.

the snake didn't understand what the man felt.

the cat ran away months later.

to be continued...
